*NEW* ST. CROIX SCENIC 50 KILOMETER INDIVIDUAL COURSE
The 50 Kilometer course has a couple of changes from previous years. Both the 50k individual athletes and 50K leg 1 relay runners will being at 6:00 a.m. at the top of the Beast (Aid Station 1/ Aid Station 5/ Aid Station 9).
As in previous years, runners will head west along the Scenic Drive and drop onto the island's western shore at Ham's Bay. The turnaround is about a quarter mile past Beresford Manor (Aid Station 3). From here runner's follow the same route back to the top of the Beast and continue on the jeep trails and then down East Scenic Drive. At the bottom of East Scenic Drive is where the course alters from previous years. Runners will turn round at the Aid Station and the bottom of east scenic and climb back up their recent decent back tracking once more to the top of the beast. The final miles of the course will treat runners to panoramic views as they run down the beast and along the shoreline to finish at Cane Bay.
